Mayor and councillor receive Blue Booklet 2024-2025

Did your kids bring it home yet? The new Blue Booklet is available now, a guide filled with inspiration for sports and cultural activities for children in Amstelveen. Recently, the booklet was symbolically handed over to mayor Tjapko Poppens and city councillor Herbert Raat.

In the preface of the Blue Booklet 2024-2025, Mayor Tjapko Poppens talks about the rich sports and cultural offerings in Amstelveen, reflected in the extensive index at the back of the booklet. The mayor encourages all children to discover their interests and talents.

City councillor Herbert Raat is also featured in the booklet. In an interview he talks about his work and his own experiences with sports and culture. As councillor Herbert Raat's responsibilities include art, culture and sports in Amstelveen. This means he gets to work a lot with cultural institutions and sports clubs. Published annually as part of the Sport & Culture Card Amstelveen, the Blue Booklet helps children discover possibilities in their neighbourhood. With a sports and culture index, supplemented by interviews, tips, fun facts, and games, the guide provides all the inspiration needed for a year of sports and cultural activities.

The booklet is distributed free of charge at primary schools in Amstelveen, giving all children access to this valuable information and inspiration.
